Wasatch Powder Coating has assembled a highly experienced team of powder coaters. Nearly everyone of our principal team members have decades of powder coating experience. This experience ensures that we will finish your product with the highest quality. It also ensures that we can handle your project quickly and efficiently. Our team has refined the batch production process. With our large oven, we can often handle large volume projects more quickly and with high quality.

Our Amazing Oven
We love our oven! We’ve nicknamed it Sasquatch because it is big and bad; a state of the art, custom designed, Col-Met oven with 2,000,000 btu, and a spacious interior: 30 feet deep by 10 feet in height and width. We’ve driven our trucks through it! Kidding aside, it really is a remarkable oven. It is one of the biggest batch ovens in Utah. Because of its size and the excellent quality of its heat distribution, it can handle very large projects; not only projects of a high volume of units but also very large pieces.
Top Notch Spray Booth and Spray Guns
Wasatch Powder Coating utilizes the latest spray booth technology. The collection system in the booth uses air to create negative pressure in the booth and to pull the powder laden air into the collector. The powder is then separated from the air-stream using an efficient filter. The filter cartridges are designed to remove nearly 100% of the powder from the airstream. The air is then discharged through a High Efficiency Particulate Arresting (HEPA) filter to ensure that no particulate is put into the plant atmosphere. The discharged air from the HEPA filter is rated at a MERV 16 or higher and able to remove 99.97% of the particulate that may bypass the cartridge down to 5 micron.
We also use GEMA OptiFlex 2 Spray Guns for application of the powder paint. The OptiFlex 2 is considered the most advanced powder coating spray guns currently available. The system ensures uniform application of powder even in those hard to reach places.
Excellent Cleaning Process
We have installed a 12’ x 30’ power wash booth. We use the industry leading five step cleaning process. Our power washer is a state of the art Landa VNG 4-3000, that heats the the mixed soap, degreaser and steam water to 225 degrees to quickly and efficiently clean all parts. The parts are hot rinsed. We then apply iron phosphate to seal the metal, protect it against rust, and to help the paint adhere to the metal. The part is rinsed again at low pressure to remove the phosphate. The part is put into the oven to dry before being painted. We have also installed environmental protections to ensure that little to none of the residual of the cleaning process is emitted to the sewer system.
Sand Blasting
We use red garnett for for our sand blasting process. Our Sandblasting room is 30’ in length and 10’ high to ensure we can handle large projects.
